When one of the UK's biggest outdoor shopping parks, Fosse Park looked at the Electronic Security System that helped secure and manage the site, they decided that a new and fresh approach was required.

Fosse Park is managed by BTW Shiells, who also manage 40 other shopping centre’s or retail parks with a total value of £4billion across the UK and Ireland. The Firm’s extensive client list includes private investors, property syndicates, family trusts, major plcs, property companies, pension funds, financial institutions, local councils and government bodies.
 
This led Security Manager for Fosse Park, David Eden and Centre Director, Kathy Murdoch to speak to other electronic security contractors about reviewing the Park’s existing system and what could be improved with the existing infrastructure to assist in site security and management.

Custom Technology Solutions were recommended as an approved partner of City Watch Leicester Against Crime and went though a stringent evaluation process to ensure that we could not only take responsibility for design and delivery, but also the complex back up service required for large sites.

Custom Technology is in the process of checking, documenting and mapping the system including all cable routes across the site so we can update the site plans, ensuring Fosse Park have up to date and accurate records for the whole site. This will enable the company to provide a proactive service as well as a reactive service contract. Understanding the system and what it is doing on a daily basis enables the company to pre-empt some faults and ensure they are factored into a proactive service visit, ensuring maximum up time of the systems covering the site.
