| Walsall Manor NHS Trust upgrades to Domes and Digital CCTV |

With a diverse range and age of buildings to operate from at their site in Walsall, the Trust found faulty cameras and holes in their surveillance hampering their day to day management of security at the site. The new digital CCTV system design was put together and publicly tendered; Custom Technology Solutions from Halesowen was successful in tenders proving their ‘best value’ approach worked every time not just as a one-off. The installations needed experienced systems integrators in networking technology, twisted pair transmission and digital CCTV systems. The installation was delivered with its ‘total project delivery’ package and completed ahead of schedule. Andy Marston, of Custom Technology states, “the new system design incorporated moving from PTZ to Pelco Spectra III domes, including many new locations and installing the latest Pelco DX8000 Digital recording to manage the system and recordings, the upgraded system was entwined across a large site and the running of new cable structures meant a lot of pre work surveys to totally understand the companies commitment to the Trust. The system is now installed and fully operational, giving not only faster and more reliable access to video images for across the site, but significantly improved image quality both in the day and at night. The digital recording means that site management and security, have full and instant access to live and recorded images at the click of a button. Custom Technology hope to work with the Trust again on their site PFUI developments in upgrading and adding to more electronic security systems across the site.
